Garrison/cigar style grip
I'd rate it on the medium side of medium-fast dry fly action
A must for the Payne enthusiast or anyone with a taste for the best
a varnished finish (it could have received an overcoat of varnish at some point in its life)
Excellent+ condition

The original ebonite handle spins freely as it should. The springs are nice and tight. Gear teeth and dual pawls are in great shape with very sharp points. Original ribbed brass reel foot has not been filed. No cracks, dings or chips. Minor spool spindle play like most Uniquas. Telephone latch functions as it should. A very nice Uniqua!
