Being able to sac one of your own Gobby tokens in order to destroy an opponents powerhouse artifact combo piece or game-warping colorless permanent is quite an impactful trade-off, so if you keep losing to Chimil, the Inner Sun or The Immortal Sun (or other, non-Sun-related artifacts), nab a copy of this bruiser and profit mightily
Orzhov Guildmage is a another very similar card
In regular Magic, its pretty easy to insert playing this into the hyphen in draw-go
Thats not too surprising for a game that is 32 years old, and its certainly not a bad thing to have so many cool types of creatures
Given how easily blue-black Zombie decks recur their creatures, Cleaver Skaab can more than double your value in just a couple turns, and all for an amount of mana the average Commander player can find behind their couch cushions
Not to mention, the card's own recursion is practically built in thanks to its use of the escape mechanic also seen on Underworld Breach
