I recognize that you're not getting the best return on investment on your life paid into this dragon, but the hope here is that you've got enough of an attack that you can pay life into Moltensteel Dragon to fill in the damage gap
Jokes aside, I do think that Magic and Dungeons & Dragons have a lot in common
As such most control decks simply supplement their deck with the odd pure card draw spell to smooth curves or act as top quality filler and are able to function pretty well without any of the pure form at all
Flower // Flourish Everyone loves them some mana land grabbing, enter this hybrid one-drop sorcery that will tutor for a basic Forest or Plains and put it in your hand, or you can pump your team for +2/+2, no evasion, for six mana, this is really all about that studly first one that can get Forests with White mana, or vice versa
(If it would be dealt damage or destroyed, remove a shield counter from it instead.) : Add
Of course, none of this strategy would be possible without Pyretic Ritual to keep the mana flowing
