The card isn't really a goblin incentive card at all, you don't need to be playing a goblin deck, you just need a few goblins that are diverse in purpose that you'd probably want to play anyway
The other creatures are all value-oriented
The first ability gets maximum value out of the Connive that the second ability grants
Ponder To my mind this is the least desirable of the good card quality spell for cube play despite thinking it is one of the best ones for a format like modern
